Claudia Rios, C.R
Claudia Rios (full name Claudia Rios Sanchez), born on March 19, 1984, is a graphic designer primarily working in digital art, with additional practices in painting and film. Her work is conceptually driven and incorporates influences from pop art, surrealism, and minimalism, often infused with autobiographical and psychological elements.
Rios studied traditional printmaking at Konstskolan, graphic design studies at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London and at Berghs School of Communication in Stockholm. Her artistic practice spans multiple media including drawing and collage, frequently reflecting her thematic interest in bold and pastel colors, objects, animals, geometric forms, and typography.
Three of her artworks were selected from over 300 submissions for the exhibition Konsten att delta HUB.
Konsten att delta HUB is an annual exhibition held at Konstnärshuset in Stockholm, organized by Konstnärernas Riksorganisation in collaboration with Svenska Tecknare, Illustratörcentrum, Svenska Fotografers Förbund, and KLYS (the Swedish Joint Committee for Artistic and Literary Professionals). The project is funded by the Postkodlotteriets Kulturstiftelse.
In 2018, the exhibition showcased works from 23 selected artists, illustrators, and photographers.

Photography and illustration
Rios has a strong influence from South Korea, and has always been fascinated by its culture and language. Her interest for typefaces are often seem on her artworks. Swedish and Korean alphabet have most of her favorite letters which she likes to apply with her works.
During Summer 2017, Rios was asked to portrait herself. This request came from her teacher at Central Saint Martins. She created an image based on her past, present and what she thinks her future is. The llama represents herself as the centrum.

In April 2018, Claudia Rios created two pictures for the Easter holidays. She wanted the pictures to radiate something fun and that would break the usual colors associated with Easter. Through photography and digital processing, she achieved a fine result with colored eggs and marzipan chicken in focus.

Invitations
Here are some examples and design experiments C.R made for the invitations.
C.R really enjoy working with typography, patterns and colors. She wanted to reflect this on her invitations. Using these elements is always crucial in any creation of her as it's her kind of signature and current style.
There are some of the keywords used during the making process
1.- colorful 2.- typhography 3.- curiosity 4.-simplicity 5.- elegance
C.R experimented with different colors, shapes and created her own fonts. She avoided in revealing any complete picture in advance. I created a layout that showed just part of the work in a subtle way.
